Morris Community High School Education: 21 Black students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 21 Black students enrolled in Morris Community High School in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 876 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 2.4% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Morris Community High School District 101 with a central office in Morris.

Morris Community High School was the only school in the district which enrolled Black students, welcoming 21 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
