Phyllis J. Halstead, 84, of Morris, Remembered for Love of Family and Life's Simple Pleasures

Phyllis J. Halstead, 84, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, in Morris, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 3, 1940, Phyllis was known for her devotion to her family and her appreciation for life's small joys.

Phyllis, a Morris native, cherished her family life with her husband, Irvin Halstead, and their children Cynthia, Dale, and Butch. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense pride and joy. She found happiness in playing bingo, watching Hallmark movies, and dancing to her favorite music.

She is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and other family members. A visitation and celebration of Phyllis's life will take place at UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris on Saturday, December 21, 2024. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
