Mary Lee Dickison Remembered for Her Zest for Life and Unmatched Sense of Humor
Mary Lee Dickison | UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home & Aqua Cremation Center

Mary Lee Dickison, a resident of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away with her family by her side. Born in Kirksville, Missouri in 1942 to Duane Aldo Daniels and Garnet Peavler, Mary Lee had a deep love for horses from a young age.

Known for her sense of humor and infectious laughter, Mary Lee was fiercely independent and valued friendship and loyalty. She had a particular passion for shopping, especially for shoes, and shared this love with her sister Sandy. Mary Lee cherished the memories made during their annual travels.

Mary Lee was married to her beloved husband Jim and they were inseparable until his passing. She spoke fondly of their time together and deeply missed him every day. In her later years, she enjoyed life on the farm with her daughter Candy and son-in-law Robert, relishing her independence and humorously clashing with the farm goats, especially Charlie.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, sister Sandra Anders, and great-grandson Dhane Hogan, Mary Lee is survived by her daughter Candy and son-in-law Robert Thompson, grandchildren Tiffany Simovski, Tonya Coleman, and Eric Thompson, as well as several great-grandchildren.

A private visitation and graveside service will be held on January 18th, 2025 at U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris and Evergreen Cemetery, respectively.

Mary Lee will always be remembered for her quick wit, zest for life, and independent spirit. Her presence brought laughter and joy to all who knew her.

An online guestbook has been set up for sharing memories and condolences on the funeral home's website. Arrangements have been entrusted to U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, IL.
