Anthony Damptz, Beloved Husband and Father, Mourned in Morris

Morris, IL - Anthony (Tony) Damptz, aged 92, passed away on June 4, 2025, at 12:02 a.m. in Morris, IL. Originally from Chicago, Tony lived a fulfilling life, dedicated to his family, Catholic faith, and hobbies such as coin collecting, bowling, and archery.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Clara Damptz, children Anthony Jr., Michael, and Gail, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends, Don and Audrey Stephens. Predeceased by his parents, granddaughter Christina, and siblings Jack and Donald Damptz.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at UC Davis Callahan Funeral Home in Morris on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., led by Deacon Paul Jung, with aqua cremation rites to be performed.
