Shabbona Middle School reported that 79.3% of its students failed the mathematics portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

These students did not meet the required standards of the test, compared to the 20.7% who did.

The total number of Shabbona Middle School students who failed their mathematics assessments rose by 12.9% from the previous school year.
