Jacqueline J. "Jaki" Paszek, 43, Remembered for Love of Family and Community

Morris - Jacqueline J. "Jaki" Paszek passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on August 18, 1982, in Morris, she was a graduate of GSW High School and went on to earn her Associate's degree as a Paralegal.

Jaki is survived by her father Dale (Sheila) Halstead, stepfather Jeff Cooper, son Casey Ness, stepchildren Alyssa and Avery, and siblings Jason (Liz) Halstead, Jeremy (Trish) Halstead, and Michelle Rowbottom. In 2009, she married Bryon Paszek. Jaki's dedication to her community was evident through her volunteer work with Hands of Dignity.

An outdoor enthusiast, Jaki enjoyed camping, shooting, cooking, gardening, and visiting Great America. She had a deep love for her pets, Mocha, Thor, and Simba, showering them with care and affection.

A visitation for Jaki will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. She will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on October 30, 2025. Cremation rites will be accorded. Jaki will be remembered for her love of family, community, and her four-legged companions.
