Shabbona Middle School reported that 51.2% of its students failed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

These students did not meet the required standards of the test, compared to the 48.8% who did.

The total number of Shabbona Middle School students who failed their ELA assessments fell by 17.7% from the previous school year.
